Marilyn Shirley Krenzen, 74, of Duluth, passed away peacefully Sunday, Dec.
23, 2007 at the Solvay Hospice House, surrounded by her family. Marilyn was
born Sept. 29, 1933 in Minneapolis to Louis and Minnie (Rose) Langfus. She
was a graduate of North High School. Marilyn married Jack Krenzen
on June 15, 1952. Marilyn was employed at General Mills and was nursery
school teacher at the former B'nai Abraham Synagogue. In 1971 the family
moved to Duluth and purchased what is now Krenzen Auto Mall. She was member
of Temple Israel and volunteered at St. Luke's and the Miller Dwan Gift Shop.
Marilyn's true passion was raising her three sons and five grandchildren. She
never missed a concert, recital or sporting event the grandchildren
participated in. Marilyn is survived by her husband Jack; three sons, Steve,
Howie (Lynn) and Scott (Kelly); her brother, Sam Langfus of Minneapolis; and
her five grandchildren, Louis, Lyndsey, Mary, Lane, and Nolan. The family
would like to thank Dr. James Krook for his heartfelt support and care over
the years as well as the entire care team from the Solvay Hospice House.
Their empathetic care offered a great peace and comfort for Marilyn and her
family as she completed her life's journey. PRIVATE FAMILY SERVICE: Friday
